LAW STUDENT MENTORSHIP
EABA is committed to providing Law Students the mentorship needed to succeed in and out of Law School. We will hold networking events, provide information and mentorship to Law Students. Introduce local Law Students to each other and other legal professionals. Membership is free to law students.
LEGAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM
EABA’s will arrange for Ethiopian Judges and Government Lawyers to travel to the United States to participate in a legal training for specified number of months. During their stay the Judges and Lawyers will be exposed to the United States legal system, from substantive to procedural process. We will pair each Mentee to a Mentor Judge or Lawyer from the United States who will be their guide during their stay and training in the United States. The aim of the program is to get the Ethiopian Judges and Attorneys exposed to something different in the hope that they may learn something that they may not know already.
LEGAL CONFERENCE IN ADDIS ABABA
EABA in collaboration with other legal association, including the ABA, would like to arrange for annual legal conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The conference will expose legal professionals outside of Ethiopia to the Ethiopian legal system and provide opportunity to Ethiopian legal professionals to educate visiting legal professionals on local law.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH & NETWORKING
Every month, EABA holds a happy hour networking event sponsored by Anacostia Law Group, in Washington, DC. Check out the Events section for upcoming event. Similar events will be available in other cities once local chapters are established.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH & ADVOCACY
As the National voice of the Ethiopian legal community and the Ethiopian community in general, EABA’s reach expands well beyond its Attorney members, and into the communities where we live and serve. Through our various community outreach programs and advocacy efforts, we encourage Ethiopian legal professionals, partners, and sponsors to get involved in these important efforts that impact millions of Ethiopian individuals.
